Dr. Florence-Damilola Odufalu stands outside and smiles while wearing a white medical coat.

Dr. Odufalu is a gastroenterologist with Keck Medicine of USC who specializes in diagnosing and treating inflammatory bowel diseases, including Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, indeterminate colitis and microscopic colitis.

She treats patients at Keck Hospital of USC, USC Norris Cancer Hospital and USC Verdugo Hills Hospital. Here’s what you won’t find on her resume.

She treasures family time.

“When I’m not working, my life is very busy and active. I have a one-year-old daughter, and we like to do so many things together, including going on walks, going to Disneyland and playing with our dog.”

She’s a skiing enthusiast.

“I love skiing, and I can’t wait to teach my daughter.”

Her namesake is also her role model.

“My biggest role model was my grandmother, who I am named after. She had the most beautiful soul. She was so kind and loving. She was a nurse, and her nature was so nurturing to all.”

World travel awaits.

“My favorite travel destination is Japan. I love the food and culture. I can’t wait to take my family to experience such a beautiful country.”

Hollywood crime drama is her go-to entertainment.

“My favorite TV show is ‘The Wire.’ It is so deep and intricate, with lots of thrills.”

The best part about Keck Medicine are the people.

“Hands-down, I love the people I work with. Across every specialty, doctors, nurses and staff are intelligent, smart and so hardworking. I love being a part of this family.”
