About Aram Sandaldjian Modrek, MD, PhD
Aram Modrek, MD, PhD, is a radiation oncologist at USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, part of Keck Medicine of USC. Dr. Modrek has dedicated his career to the study and treatment of brain tumors. He prioritizes a collaborative approach and building trusting relationships with his patients to better understand their personal goals and unique circumstances. Dr. Modrek aims to create treatment plans tailored to each patient’s individual needs. He is part of the care team at the USC Brain Tumor Center.

As a physician-scientist, Dr. Modrek also leads a research laboratory that is focused on brain tumor research. By combining clinical and scientific expertise, he hopes to bring forward cutting-edge advancements that will ultimately benefit patients. Dr. Modrek has authored multiple peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on brain tumor research and regularly delivers presentations around the United States and overseas. He also serves as an assistant professor of radiation oncology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC.

Dr. Modrek is involved in several professional organizations, including the Society for Neuro-Oncology, the American Association for Cancer Research, the American Society for Radiation Oncology, the American Brain Tumor Association and the Radiological Society of North America.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Dr. Modrek is the proud son of immigrants from Armenia and Iran. Outside of clinical practice, he enjoys cycling, swimming, cross-country skiing and spending time outdoors.
