Christopher Joon Yih , DO
Christopher Yih, DO, is a double board-certified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Interventional Pain physician in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. He applies interventional techniques to treat conditions and dysfunction of the spine. As a clinician for the USC Spine Center, part of Keck Medicine of USC, he specializes in treating spinal stenosis, disc disease, spinal nerve impingement, chronic back pain and joint-related pain.
Dr. Yih performs precise image-guided, minimally invasive procedures including spinal injections, joint injections, musculoskeletal interventions, radiofrequency ablations and neuromodulation. He pairs these options with medical management, physical rehabilitation and close collaboration with spine surgeons and therapists. Dr. Yih earned his medical degree from A.T. Still University in Mesa, AZ. He then completed a residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at New York University, followed by a fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine at the University of California, San Diego.
Dr. Yih serves as a clinical assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery at the Keck School of Medicine. His research interests include advancing and optimizing minimally invasive spine procedures, neuromodulation and orthobiologics.
When he is not working, Dr. Yih enjoys outdoor recreation, including playing soccer and golf.
