Serena Ghanshani, MD, MS, is a cardiologist with Keck Medicine of USC who specializes in left and right heart angiography, coronary artery stenting, coronary imaging and hemodynamic assessments. She is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology.
Dr. Ghanshani believes the foundation of exceptional care lies in building strong and long-lasting relationships with her patients that are grounded in open communication, education and collaborative decision-making. She is passionate about empowering patients to improve their cardiovascular health and quality of life through personalized treatment plans and guidance on nutrition, exercise, stress management and timely preventive screening.
After earning a Master of Science in global medicine from the Keck School of Medicine of USC, Dr. Ghanshani stayed on to complete her medical degree. An internal medicine residency at Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center (now Los Angeles General) immediately followed. From there, she went on to complete a cardiovascular disease fellowship as well as an advanced fellowship in interventional cardiology at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center.
Dr. Ghanshani serves as a clinical assistant professor of medicine (practitioner) for the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine within the Keck School of Medicine of USC. Her research interests include cardiac imaging, stress testing in aging populations and the assessment of cardiovascular risk in relation to certain medications.
Born and raised in Southern California, Dr. Ghanshani enjoys yoga, Pilates and resistance training. She embraces opportunities to explore the neighborhoods of Los Angeles and take in their culinary, music and arts scenes. She also loves cooking and spending time outdoors.
