Megan Kimberly Loo , MD
Megan K. Loo, MD, MPH, is a cardiothoracic surgeon with Keck Medicine of USC who specializes in a wide range of conditions, including coronary artery disease, aortic aneurysms and dissections, valvular heart disease, endocarditis, atrial fibrillation, myxomas and heart failure.
Dr. Loo earned an undergraduate degree in healthcare management and policy at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. She then received her medical degree from the University of Southern California, where she also went on to complete a residency in cardiothoracic surgery. During residency, Dr. Loo also earned a Master of Public Health from the University of Southern California, concentrating on health services and policy.
Dr. Loo serves as a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. Her research interests focus on structural heart procedures, including transcatheter and other minimally invasive valve procedures.
When she is not with patients, Dr. Loo, a second-generation surgeon born and raised in Huntington Beach, enjoys cycling, skiing, traveling abroad and trying new cuisines.
