About J. Dominic Femino, MD
Joseph Dominic Femino, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Keck Medicine of USC, who serves as chief of the USC Musculoskeletal Oncology Center. He specializes in the treatment of bone and soft tissue tumors, both malignant and benign. His clinical focus is curing patients of their cancer, while salvaging and reconstructing their limbs to provide maximum function. Patients can rely on Dr. Femino for compassionate care and trust that he will customize their treatment plan to best suit their individual health and wellness goals.
Dr. Femino’s research focuses on limb reconstruction after the removal of bone tumors, with particular emphasis on improving care for pediatric sarcoma patients. He is also focused on advancing non-invasive and minimally invasive surgical techniques. Dr. Femino’s research has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals and books, and he is regularly invited to discuss his work at national and international conferences.
He is deeply committed to training the next generation of physicians and serves as an associate professor of clinical orthopedic surgery at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. Dr. Femino is a member of professional organizations such as the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Connective Tissue Oncology Society.
