Panda Cares, the Panda Restaurant Group’s philanthropic arm, gifted $500,000 to USC Arcadia Hospital (USC-AH), part of Keck Medicine of USC,  at the 26th annual Panda Cares Charity Golf invitational in Palm Desert, Calif.

Funds raised at the event contribute to causes that help support patient care, and expand educational programs that build healthier, brighter futures for children in the community.

Andrew and Peggy Cherng, owners of the Panda Restaurant Group and Pasadena residents, are longtime financial supporters of USC-AH. This donation will support many initiatives, including technology updates, transforming surgical services, medical training programs and more.

USC-AH has 348 licensed beds and treats more than 40,000 patients in the Emergency Department each year. The hospital manages state-of-the-art catheterization labs, electrophysiology and neuro-interventional radiology and is home to Keck Medicine’s award-winning acute rehab unit for patients recovering from illness or injury.
