Anal Stenosis

Anal stenosis refers to the narrowing of the anal canal. It typically occurs as a result of scarring from anorectal surgery, although other factors, such as cancer, radiation exposure and certain infections, can cause similar problems.

Signs and symptoms of anal stenosis

  • Anal bleeding
  • Anal discomfort
  • Constipation
  • Difficulty with stool evacuation
  • Pain during bowel movements
