Dr. Saroja Bangaru is a transplant hepatologist and Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastrointestinal and Liver Diseases at Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. She has dedicated time at Los Angeles General Hospital where she takes care of patients and is working on expanding specialty care for liver patients within the safety net healthcare system.
Dr. Bangaru received his medical degree from Emory University. She completed her internal medicine residency at University of Texas, Southwestern where she also completed a chief medical residency year. She completed gastroenterology fellowship at University of California Los Angeles and her transplant hepatology fellowship at Keck / University of Southern California. Dr. Bangaru is board-certified in internal medicine, gastroenterology and board eligible for transplant hepatology (expected 11/2024).
