Anthony W. Kim, MD, is the chief of thoracic surgery for Keck Medicine of USC. An internationally recognized surgeon, he specializes in thoracic oncology with a focus on minimally invasive thoracic surgery, including both thoracoscopic and robotic platforms. He has expertise in surgery for benign and malignant diseases of the esophagus, lung, mediastinum and chest wall, among several other areas.
Dr. Kim serves as a professor of clinical surgery and the Jeffrey P. Smith Chair in Surgery in the Division of Thoracic Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, where he also oversees research efforts and clinical trials aimed at advancing care for patients with complex thoracic conditions.
Dr. Kim is a member of several prestigious organizations and serves on a number of their committees. A dedicated educator, Dr. Kim is known for his role in training and mentoring medical students, residents and fellows.
