Description

Join us for the Doc Talks Lecture Series, an educational program hosted at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital in collaboration with the YMCA. This series features local medical experts delivering key health information and community wellness updates in a welcoming setting.

This hybrid session features Dr. Amir Solhpour, a heart specialist who is board-certified in six different areas of cardiovascular care. Dr. Solhpour is an expert in “minimally invasive” treatments, which are modern procedures that use small tubes called catheters instead of major surgery to help patients heal faster. He will discuss his work as the Director of Echocardiography and his experience performing advanced heart procedures for the first time in the Glendale area.

What we will cover

  • Learn how doctors use tiny tools and catheters to fix heart problems without large incisions.
  • Hear about advanced treatments like the MitraClip and WATCHMAN that help the heart function better.
  • Understand how doctors treat weakened spots in the body’s main artery using a method called EVAR.
  • Learn about the newest heart procedures now available right here in the Glendale community.
  • Get the chance to have a heart specialist answer your questions during the talk.

Please be advised that no Doc Talks lectures will be scheduled for August and December.
