About Eduardo Fernandez Hernandez, MD
Eduardo Fernandez, MD, is a hematologist at Keck Medicine of USC, who specializes in plasma cell dyscrasias, lymphomas and non-malignant hematologic conditions. Dr. Fernandez is highly experienced in the care of multiple myeloma and both non-malignant and malignant hematology. He has a particular clinical interest in closing health care gaps and disparities for these conditions and helping expand access to vital care and treatment for underserved communities.

Dr. Fernandez prioritizes building trusting and genuine relationships with each patient and their family members. He is committed to an evidence-based approach that tailors treatment plans to the patient’s individual needs.

His research interests are focused on understanding the underlying pathways in multiple myeloma, plasma cell disorders and autoimmune hematologic conditions. Dr. Fernandez has published his research findings in high-impact journals and has delivered presentations about his research around the United States and overseas.

He completed his fellowship training in hematology and oncology at Keck Medicine and is proud to continue his career at an academic medical center dedicated to exceptional patient care and outcomes. Dr. Fernandez has a passion for education and serves as an assistant professor of clinical medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, where he is actively engaged in teaching and developing curriculum for fellows, residents and medical students.

Outside of work, Dr. Fernandez enjoys biking, swimming and lifting weights.
