About Dakshesh B. Patel , MD
Dr. Patel graduated from South Gujarat University, India, in 1988 and completed his Residency training in Radiodiagnosis from Gujarat University, India, in 1992. He was Tutor in Radiology and later Assistant Professor of Radiology in India before opening his private practice. After immigrating to the United States, he did his residency in radiology at St. Francis Hospital, Evanton, IL, in 2006 and completed his Fellowship in MRI from Proscan Imaging, Cincinnati, OH, in 2007. He then joined the Department of Radiology at USC.
Dr. Patel has authored/co-authored more than 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals and more than 65 educational exhibits, during which he mentored radiology residents and fellows. Currently, he is working as an editor on a book on musculoskeletal anatomy.
A board-certified radiologist, he is interested in all facets of musculoskeletal radiology, including interventional musculoskeletal radiology and ultrasound in musculoskeletal radiology. He is dedicated to improving patient care and is true to the core values of the Keck Medicine of USC. Apart from clinical work and administration, he loves teaching. In addition to teaching the residents and fellows at USC, he had conducted a number of two-day educational seminar and board review for his former radiology residency program at St. Francis Hospital.
