Dr. Luis “Quique” Huerta earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and completed residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Virginia. He then completed fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.
Currently, he is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of USC specializing in both Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care medicine. He has an active outpatient clinic treating pulmonary diseases including asthma, bronchiectasis, chronic cough, COPD, lung nodules, nontuberculous mycobacterial infections, pulmonary embolism, and sarcoidosis, among others. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care medicine.
Dr. Huerta is an active researcher. His interests include clinical research in the ICU with a particular focus on ICU infections.
