James D. Nguyen, MD

Dr. Nguyen is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. He believes strongly in multi-modality treatment, offering his patients support from a range of experts to ensure full-spectrum care. His bariatric surgery patients have access to a team of dietitians, social workers, physician assistants and nurses to help them on the journey to success.

Dr. Nguyen has a particular interest in minimally invasive techniques, which offer shorter, more comfortable recoveries for his patients. He is fellowship-trained in advanced laparoscopic and robotic techniques.

Dr. Nguyen believes in taking time with each of his patients to answer any questions they might have to make sure they understand as much as possible about their surgery. He believes that knowledge is the best tool to help every patient achieve and maintain their best results.
