Ramen H. Chmait, MD has served as director of Los Angeles Fetal Surgery since 2006. LA Fetal Surgery is the fetal interventional branch of the CHLA-USC Institute for Maternal-Fetal Health, which is a joint program between Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and University of Southern California. In this capacity, he has provided surgical treatment to hundreds of unborn children. Dr. Chmait also directs a research program devoted to understanding fetal disease and investigating potential treatment modalities.
