Keck Medicine of USC has announced Robert Allen as the chief financial officer of Keck Medical Center of USC, a part of Keck Medicine of USC.

Allen is a financial health-care executive with nearly 20 years of experience in Southern California, whose expertise will enhance the progress of Keck Medicine of USC’s strategic growth and maintain its fiscal responsibility. As CFO, Allen oversees all financial planning, analysis, reporting and operations at the Keck Medical Center of USC, which includes Keck Hospital of USC and USC Norris Cancer Hospital. Working collaboratively with other administrative leaders, he will help to manage the hospitals’ financial accountabilities, sustainability, fiscal health and short-term and long-term financial goals.

Allen brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Keck Medicine. His expertise includes managed care contracts, vendor contracts, cost control and government reimbursement programs. He also has been highly successful in collaborating with teams on strategic planning, program development and analysis of hospital operations.

Prior to USC, Allen served as CFO for two of Dignity Health’s largest Los Angeles facilities, California Hospital Medical Center and Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center. He also has held executive financial leadership roles at Valley Presbyterian Hospital, Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, Sherman Oaks Hospital, Granada Hills Hospital and the former Verdugo Hills Hospital. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Cal State University, Northridge, and a master’s degree in business administration from Pepperdine University.
