Ghecemy Lopez and April Ramirez had part of their youth stolen by life-threatening bouts with cancer. Now they are regaining control of their lives and taking on new adventures, such as surfing for the first time. They caught some tasty waves courtesy of AYA@USC, a program of USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and Hospital, and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and non-profit organization First Descents.
