About this doctor:

Dr. Vincent DeLeo has spent his 40-year career in dermatology in academic medical centers. After training in dermatology in New York, he began his career at Ochsner Clinical in his native New Orleans. He subsequently returned to Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center to undertake a basic science fellowship in Dermato-toxicology and Photobiology in 1982. At Columbia, he was a funded researcher, clinician and teacher in the Department of Dermatology.

His clinical expertise was in the areas of contact dermatitis, photomedicine and occupational skin disease. He was named chair of the Columbia Department at the St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center and assumed the chair as well at Beth Israel Medical Center when the two institutions merged in 2000.

Dr. DeLeo is a member of the North American Contact Dermatitis Group, a past president of the American Contact Dermatitis Society and has published two books and more than 250 articles, chapters and abstracts in his areas of interest.
