About this doctor:

Dr. Rajesh Patel, a native of Bombay, India, received an MBBS from the University of Bombay, where he also completed his residency in anesthesiology. After arriving in the United States, Dr. Patel completed an internship and a repeat residency in anesthesiology from RUSH – Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Patel’s first academic job was an assistant professor of clinical anesthesiology at UCLA for four years. He then joined the USC faculty in the department of anesthesiology in 1995. He was promoted to associate professor in 1999 and became the liver transplant anesthesiology director in 1996. Dr. Patel was also given the responsibilities of resident education and program director in 2001.
