Dr. Schneider directs the USC State of California Alzheimer’s Disease Research and Clinical Center and the clinical core of the USC NIA Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. He has served as a senior scientific advisor at the NIMH, consultant to the NIMH National Advisory Mental Health Council report on Treatment Efficacy for Geropsychiatric Patients with Severe Severe Mental Illness, on the American Psychiatric Association Committee for Practice Guidelines in Alzheimer’s and Other Dementia, the NIMH National Advisory Mental Health Council Clinical and Services Research Workgroup, and the World Federation of Societies of Biological Psychiatry Task Force on Dementia.
