About this doctor:

Dr. Halls received his medical training at St. Mary’s Hospital, University of London and training in radiology at University College and St. Mark’s Hospital, University of London. He held a research fellowship with the Medical Research Council of the United Kingdom. Before joining the faculty at USC, Dr. Halls spent some time on the faculty at the University of Toronto. Dr. Halls joined the faculty of USC in 1975 and became professor and chairman of the Department of Radiology in 1978. Although he istrained in neurology and neuroradiology, Dr. Halls’ primary interest has been abdominal radiology and he has made important contributions to interventional radiology of thegastrointestinal tract. Dr. Halls has authored over 120 papers in peer reviewedjournals, most of which relate to diseases of the GI tract. In 2001, Dr. Halls retired from his position as chairman of the department and stayed on with the faculty to continue his work in imaging of the gastrointestinal tract and bariatric surgery.
