Dr. Yassine graduated from Beirut Arab University in 2003 with an MD. He then completed internal medicine residency training at Metrohealth Medical Center, Case Western Reserve University (2007) and an Endocrinology fellowship at University of Arizona (2010). Dr. Yassine completed post-doctoral training in the application of mass spectrometry to discover proteins attached to high density lipoproteins. Dr. Yassine is the recipient of several awards, which include Resident Teacher of the Year award at Case Western Reserve University (2007), Endocrine Society Presidential Award (2009), Veteran’s Affair VISN 18 outstanding research award (2009), Goldstar Award for Patient Satisfaction (2010). Dr. Yassine is the recipient of a prestigious career development award from the National Institute of Health (2012). Dr. Yassine specializes in treating complex cases of lipid disorders and runs the lipid clinic at USC.
