About this doctor:
Dr. Chung received his undergraduate degree in Chemical Biology from Stevens Institute of Technology and medical Doctorate degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey, Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular Pathology and Immunology from UMDNJ, and a Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University. His internship in Medicine and residency training in Radiation Oncology were performed at the University of Michigan where he was Chief Resident in the Department of Radiation Oncology chaired by Dr. Theodore Lawrence. He comes highly recommended by Dr. Lori Pierce, Professor of Radiation Oncology, Vice Provost for Academic and Faculty Affairs at University of Michigan having worked closely with her clinically and on a research project that established a dose response relationship for cardiac SPECT scan changes in breast cancer patients receiving radiation therapy.
While Dr. Chung is able to adeptly treat a wide variety of cancers, he will be focused on working closely with specialists from our breast cancer, lung cancer, head and neck cancer teams and helping to grow the clinical enterprise, enhancing the quality of resident education, and establishing his own research agenda. Given his superb clinical training and research background, Dr. Chung will be actively looking for research collaborators to help conduct clinical and translational research at KSOM.
