About this doctor:

Dr. Christopher Lee is an Associate Professor of Clinical Radiology at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. He subspecializes in the field of cardiothoracic radiology, which encompasses both cardiac and thoracic imaging. Dr. Lee has particular interests in lung cancer screening and thoracic interventional procedures, which includes CT-guided percutaneous lung biopsies and thermal ablations of lung malignancies. He is also director of the Cardiothoracic Imaging and Intervention fellowship at USC.

Dr. Lee is an integral member of the USC Multidisciplinary Lung Cancer Program. He attends and moderates the weekly tumor boards and works closely with his clinical colleagues in thoracic surgery, pulmonology, radiation oncology, and medical oncology in evaluating patients with suspected or confirmed lung cancer. He is also co-director of the USC Lung Cancer Screening Program. As an expert in thoracic interventional procedures, he performs challenging percutaneous lung biopsies, as well as microwave and cryoablation of lung malignancies in patients who are not ideal candidates for surgery.

Dr. Lee’s research and academic interests include thoracic imaging, thoracic oncology, thoracic interventions, and advanced cardiac imaging with computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). He has presented at numerous local and national conferences and meetings, and he has authored many publications pertaining to his interests.

A native of California, Dr. Lee received both his undergraduate and medical training at the University of California Los Angeles. As an undergraduate student, he graduated Summa cum laude, and as a medical student, he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Lee remained at UCLA for both his diagnostic radiology residency and thoracic imaging fellowship before moving across town to become a faculty member at Keck Medicine of USC.
