About this doctor:

Dr. Zee graduated from Osaka University School of Medicine, Osaka, Japan in March, 1973. He completed his medical internship at Booth Memorial Hospital in New York and completed his diagnostic radiology residency at University Health Center of Pittsburgh in June, 1978. Following his two year neuroradiology fellowship at University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine, he stayed on as an assistant professor of radiology in 1980. He is currently professor of radiology and neurosurgery and director of neuroradiology at University of Southern California. He is an honorary member of the Shanghai Radiological Society and currently serves as overseas editor for the Chinese Journal of Radiology. Dr. Zee was appointed as a research neuroradiologist for the NFL brain trauma study sponsored by the National Football League in 2007. His academic and research interests include infectious diseases of the central nervous system, neurocysticercosis, meningioma, with emphasis on the new imaging modalities and techniques such as spectroscopy and functional imaging. He has a great deal of interest in spinal interventional procedures. He is also a reviewer for the American Journal of Neuroradiology and the American Journal of Roentgenology and has been an invited author for multiple textbooks and journals. He previously co-edited two editions for Neuroimaging Clinics of North America on Intracranial Trauma and Infection. He is currently working on his book entitled Patterns of the Brain and Spine to be published in 2008.
