About this doctor:

Dr. Kim is a nationally recognized and well-established thoracic surgeon and surgical teacher. He was recruited from Yale University School of Medicine where he was previously an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery. His area of expertise is thoracic oncology with a special focus on minimally invasive thoracic surgery, including both thoracoscopic and robotic platforms.

Dr. Kim leads the thoracic surgery division and program, providing excellence in leading and designing thoracic courses, case studies and research projects. Dr. Kim is author to over 100 peer-reviewed scientific articles, as well as several reviews and textbook chapters. He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, the Annals of Thoracic Surgery, the Annals of Surgical Oncology, and the World Journal of Surgery, in addition to serving as an ad hoc reviewer for several other journals. He has served on numerous committees in several international organizations, including the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, American Association for Thoracic Surgery, American College of Chest PhysiciansSociety of University Surgeons and the Association for Academic Surgery.
